Technology is at the heart of good customer experience, Mobile Europe CTO of the Year 2016 winner Bruno Jacobfeuerborn has said in an exclusive video interview.
The Deutsche Telekom CTO paid tribute to his team following his win, saying it was a recognition of the operator’s wide ranging technology strategy and business transformation.
Jacobfeuerbon is a well-travelled exec, having held roles in customer experience and sales and marketing before being appointed Deutsche Telekom CTO.
It is this background that has put customer experience at the heart of his strategy.
He said: “The basis for a very good customer experience is a high quality network. Technology is in our hearts, even in our DNA, to support out company for the betterment of our customers.”
This belief has underpinned Deutsche Telekom’s technology strategy, which includes its shift to an all-IP network, a pan-European structure and developing 5G use cases and locking down standards.
He added: “Telecommunications, voice and data is all global so the telecoms industry and operators need to be global as well.”
