Dance the Netcracker suite
Norway’s Telenor has asked Netcracker Technology to fine tune its operational processes, elasticise its commercial propositions and get it ready to support new 5G use cases and business models. this involved upgrading it to Netcracker Revenue Management, part of Netcracker Digital BSS, so it can be rejuvenated. It appears to want the energy of the cloud, without having to sign up to the evangelism of the cloud’s leaders.
As a result of this new and extended deployment for all B2C and B2B customers, the Norwegian operator has been told that it can monetise its 5G-related systems for consumers, who will benefit from high-value services. Meanwhile, B2B customers will be offered solutions to industry-specific problems.
“Our long-standing partnership with Netcracker and previous success with Netcracker’s revenue management solution means us happy to move to the next level in order to gain a number of business benefits that will ultimately impact our customers positively,” said Peder Arntzen, Head of Customer Intelligence Tribe at Telenor Norway.
“The trust placed in us by Telenor Norway is humbling,” said Benedetto Spaziani, pictured above, general manager at Netcracker, “so we are thrilled to continue our engagement. We look forward to working with Telenor Norway on supporting new 5G services and delivering a streamlined revenue management experience for its customers.”
Netcracker Technology is a wholly owned subsidiary of NEC Corporation. It uses its portfolio of software and services to conduct large-scale digital transformations, so that old fashioned telcos can use the cloud, virtualise many parts of their IT and change their mobile ecosystem. It’s been operating in the telecom sector for 25 years.
