Telefónica eyes new business models with digital health partnership

Telefónica and global digital health provider Tunstall Healthcare have signed an agreement to work together to provide remote patient management solutions and services.

Through the partnership, the companies aim to develop the digital health market and boost Tunstall’s capabilities in preventive care at home for people with chronic conditions.

Service strategy

“These kind of alliances are the key for the modernisation of the health systems of the future,” said Marisa Urquía, director of B2B Unit at Telefónica España.

“It will allow the digital transformation of our customers and the development of new business models, closer to a service strategy rather than the current one that is more focused on product,” she said.

“At Tunstall, we have found a strategic partner that brings experience and vision in both the technological and health fields.”

Tunstall Healthcare has 2.5 million users in 51 countries.
