Wi-Fi and private enterprise network provider Citymesh will offer mobile and fixed telecom services to its B2B customers over the Proximus network.
In a statement, Proximus said, “The agreement provides Citymesh with the necessary building blocks to further extend its portfolio for the B2B market, it also emphasizes Proximus’ open attitude towards collaboration and its ambition to provide gigabit connectivity to different types of partners”.
Citymesh was founded in 2006 and specialises in wireless networks for the B2B market. Its activities are in key niche sectors within the telecom industry, including the planning, installation and maintenance of large-scale, complex and high-density Wi-Fi networks and building mobile private 4G and 5G networks.
Mobile and fixed
The collaboration agreement covers different business areas. For the mobile part, the two will set up a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) to ensure continuity of voice and SMS services in and outside a Citymesh private 4G or 5G network and onto the public network of Proximus.
The agreement will allow Citymesh to strengthen its private network offering for industrial customers, relying upon Proximus’ broad and qualitative mobile coverage.
For the fixed network is concerned, Citymesh will be able to offer its customers broadband and resell Proximus’ wholesale products for voice.
