Mobile Europe launches fourth annual survey

Mobile Europe’s fourth annual industry survey is now live. The survey will review 2013 and look at the game-changing developments from this year. We want you to help us predict which issues and technologies will make headlines next year.

Our fourth annual survey uncovers provocative data around existing versus developing technologies and changes in the operator and vendor arena in Europe.

Moreover, it gives us an insight into the key developments in the technology coliseum and a deeper view of analysts’ assessments and predictions.

Last year, you told us that App stores and M-payments would have the biggest impact in 2013. The survey also showed that LTE planning and deployment would become operators’ top network investment priorities, which has proven to be true.

From wide-scale LTE deployments and network investments to competition from OTT providers, the technological landscape in the telecom world is shifting. This latest survey will take a look at the state of the industry to ascertain which areas are growing in importance.

We are also asking for our readers to help us pick the most influential CTO this year in conjunction with the new award we recently launched for the European telecoms industry – European Operator CTO of the Year.

In last year’s survey, we had 650 respondents, out of which 41 percent were operators and service providers and 30 percent were software suppliers. The remaining 28 percent included system integrators, consultants and resellers.

The results will be published in our annual survey report within the DEC/JAN issue.
