MWC – Mentum introduces Automated Network Planning capabilities in Mentum Planet 5.3

MWC – Mentum, a wireless access and backhaul network planning and optimization company, today announced that it will offer a new Automated Network Planning package with the upcoming release of Mentum Planet 5.3.

Mentum Planet is a robust and easy-to-use Windows-based software solution that helps wireless operators, integrators, and equipment vendors plan, manage, and improve the performance of wireless access networks.

The Mentum Automated Network Planning (ANP) package will provide innovative capabilities for the rollout of LTE networks with features like automatic site creation, selection, and optimization. The native integration with Mentum Planet will provide substantial advantages when it comes to ease of use, accuracy, scalability and enterprise capabilities. At the root of the ANP lies a high performance multi-technology optimization engine that supports advanced modeling of antenna systems, with capabilities such as multi-band shared antennas, distributed antenna systems and MIMO.

“The new Mentum Automated Network Planning solution is natively integrated within Mentum Planet to provide the best possible user experience and features the ability to optimize radio parameters during the design cycle. In addition, as network operators have come to expect, Mentum Planet has the highest level of accuracy and performance available,“ says Bernard Breton, Chief Operating and Strategy Officer at Mentum. “This complete end-to-end solution is part of the Mentum commitment to help operators rollout next-generation networks in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.”

Live demonstrations will take place in Hall 2, Stand 2G15 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, February 14-17.
