Commercial Director – European Communications

Telecommunications is one of the hottest and fastest growing trade sectors. We have a rare opportunity for a Commercial Director on our flagship brand European Communications.

You'll be responsible for developing your business pipeline, and converting prospects into sales from the extensive portfolio. You'll have a background of winning business in the Media, Telecoms or IT sectors, and come with digital sales experience. Ideally you will be from a B2B publisher, and a track record in delivering bespoke online campaigns.

Telecom experience would be a bonus but is not essential.

Your responsibilities will cover the following

  • Identifying budget holders within clients and secure meetings in an international market
  • Probing for information from prospects
  • Undertaking research into clients and their communication strategies
  • Managing the brand and reporting to the Publisher
  • Attend where necessary trade events both domestic and internationally.
  • Working with our internal teams – marketing, production, accounts and web team.
  • Presenting to senior decision makers
  • Formulating future routes for revenue generation
  • Fully understanding the concept and objectives of the titles and products within the portfolio
  • Understand and keep abreast of market dynamics that are likely to affect/impact prospects media spend
  • Be aware of your competitor strengths, weaknesses and sales methods. Ensure you have all competitor media kits and subscribe to all titles within your competitive set
