WINDTRE Business launches SD-WAN service powered by Fortinent

The new service is part of the business unit’s Security Pack managed security portfolio in combination with MPLS and internet connectivity.

Using this SD-WAN technology, enterprises can create an overlay-type virtual private network (VPN) – based on different types of underlying connectivity, such as MPLS, Internet and LTE – to dynamically route data for business applications.

The intention is to maximise efficiency, offer the best user experience, to support cloud solutions and the integration of partner and supplier networks in customers’ ICT ecosystems. Security is embedded in the solution.

The operator says its business customers can take advantage of WINDTRE network services, which is claims is “the largest in Italy” and “a modern and widespread ‘Top Quality’ infrastructure, ready for the challenge of 5G”.
