Superscape Group, the technology based entertainment company and leader in revolutionary new mobile games, today announced it has signed a significant licensing and distribution agreement with an award winning games publisher. Under the terms of the agreement Superscape’s new partner, regarded as a source of high-quality and innovative titles in the global wireless industry, will localise, publish, distribute and support Superscape’s mobile games to over sixty network operators and their millions of customers worldwide.
Kevin Roberts, CEO, Superscape Group plc said: “I am very excited about the agreement and delighted to be working with this publishing partner. With the agreement in place, Superscape’s global reach and mass-market consumer access has increased dramatically.
“The agreement ensures that we gain the maximum exposure for our mobile games in the minimum amount of time – without impacting on the company’s own resources. It will allow the Superscape team to focus on our ten top-tier targeted operators where our focus is both on bringing negotiations to a speedy conclusion and on actively managing these accounts to ensure that our games are always positioned with these top ten operators to maximize revenue potential for Superscape.”
The first Superscape titles available through the new partnership will start to be distributed immediately. The games will be available in a wide range of languages including French, German, Spanish, Czech and Portuguese.
Kevin Roberts concluded: “I am very pleased with our progress to date on signing agreements with network operators. We have already signed direct or indirect agreements with four of the top ten targeted operators. Verizon was the first announced on April 29th and Superscape currently has multiple games generating thousands of royalty bearing downloads, over the air, on the Verizon network today. Our second partnership agreement announced on June 29th will bring Superscape mobile games to the China Mobile network in August 2004. The third agreement was announced on July 5th with an unnamed top tier global operator who will be identified when Superscape’s games are launched on their network. A fourth partnership, announced on July 6th, will bring our games to another of the ten top tier operators.”
